Modification of phytochemical production and antioxidant activity of Dracocephalum kotschyi cells by exposure to static magnetic field and magnetite nanoparticles

چکیده
Dracocephlum kotschyi Boiss is a genus in Lamiaceae family and medicinal herb native to Iran. The cell suspension cultures were treated by static magnetic field (SMF) Fe3O4 magnetite nanoparticles (MNP) understand the production yield of secondary metabolites. treatment procedure was done cultivating cells either with 100 ppm MNP, SMFs, or simultaneous exposure both MNP SMFs. SMF at 30 mT uniformly applied for 3 4 days h per day 5 intervals, respectively. contents phenolics phytochemicals then examined high performance liquid chromatography UV–Vis spectrophotometer. These treatments imposed oxidative stress induced polyphenol oxidase phenylalanine ammonia lyase, accompanied enhanced phenolics, anthocyanins, flavonoids, lignin. highest membrane embrittlement elicitation found upon application MNPs followed naringin, rosmarinic acid, quercetin, thymol, carvacrol, apigenin, rutin increased intracellular biomass all extracellular culture media. findings propose potential these elicitors secretion into This research proposes Dracocephalum polychaetum
